Paint on the dining room table, pieced together magazines, and piles of glitter have plagued my mother’s dining room table since I was able to hold a paintbrush. My eyes were constantly locked on the oversized computer screen in the yearbook room of my high school — obsessed with learning about graphic design, attempting photography, and crying over Photoshop crashing in the middle of projects. When starting college, I didn’t know what I wanted to do exactly, but I knew I had to do something creative. That ultimatum — that any choice had to allow me to be creative — led me to learning and growing as an Art minor, creating fun and meaningful art for people I love, and being creative in some way every single day. Oh, and my art going semi-viral on TikTok in 2021.
